Regeneration of bearings

We avoid the word repair because we believe that regeneration through us is more than a mere repair

For example, we restore the outer diameters of your plain bearings by spraying hard bronze or stainless steel, by making side shims or by welding on partial surfaces, and at the end you will receive a sliding bearing that corresponds to a new part in all functional dimensions.

As new

First, the existing bearing metal is melted out and the supporting body is subsequently freed of oil, the surface blasted, activated and pretreated with a dip or wiping. Thereafter, the sliding bearing is coated by means of different coating methods with bearing materials tailored to the application. Depending on the geometries of the slide bearing, we use the centrifugal casting method (for slide bearings with up to 2,200 mm outside diameter) or the stand casting method (for example for track bearing segments) as the method. For larger dimensions and any geometry, special hand welding procedures are also used.

Bearing materials

High-lead and high-tin content white metal alloys are used as bearing materials for a wide variety of applications and requirements.

These include e.g.

  • Tego®V738,
  • Tegotenax®V840,
  • Tegostar®738 and
  • Thermit®.

In special cases – such as high static, dynamic and thermal stresses in corrosive environments – the bearings are also made of high-quality special bronze alloys.
